Pulldozer 2490

The U-Shaped Blade is the heart of this machine. In its straight position, it’s built to move mountains of dirt. The 2490 is 24 feet wide at its max, can move 24 cubic yards, and weighs 32,600 pounds.

Levelling

The U-Shape blade is shaped to cut and roll the dirt for easy filling. Excellent visibility of the cutting edge, along with an extra-long wheelbase, makes the Pulldozer a remarkable levelling machine and an excellent tool for pulling dirt from hills to elevate low areas.

Crowning

As the blades retract behind the center position, the tips lower to create a gentle crown. This configuration is useful for any situation where you need to reach over the edge to grade.

High Lift

The 2-foot blade clearance lets you unload quickly, clear rocks, or lift out of a mud hole if you get in a little too deep.

Hydraulic Wings on our Patented Canted Wing Axis—the hallmark feature of the Pulldozer.

By tilting the wing axis towards the rear, the wings arc upwards through their forward travel. Combined with a travel range of -10 degrees to +40 degrees (from straight), this motion gives the Pulldozer 2490 Transformer Blade its shape-shifting ability.

Massive 5-inch hydraulic cylinders manipulate the wings and are independently adjustable. These machines are built to be worked in any configuration. You have full control from the cab to adjust your blade on the go to suit any project.

Ditching
As the wings fold forward, they raise to create a neat U-shaped ditch. The slope of the sides is controlled by your wing angle. Work from the centre of the ditch upwards rather than off the sides with a straight blade. It is also useful for ripping into harder soil.

Terracing
Create a terrace with one wing forward and one wing back.

The telescoping axle extends in the field for stability and retracts for narrow transport on the road. In wet conditions, when mud and clay start to accumulate on the outer wings, the wide tire track of the 2490 effectively resists the off-center load, maintaining precise depth and tilt control. The axle also serves as a heavy counterweight, providing maximum cutting pressure for the blade.

You’ll appreciate the narrow transport mode of the Pulldozer. The 2490 collapses to a mere 12 feet. Road lights and transport locks for the lift and tilt cylinders are standard.

The 2490 steps up to straight profile, 1” thick cutting edges. These blades are 60% thicker than previous models for extended service life. The straight profile maintains optimum cutting angle as they wear for consistent performance.

Cutting edges are available in serrated or smooth,and are replaceable in 4-foot and 6-foot segments.

Serrated blades double your cutting pressure from 1000 lb/ft to 2000 lb/ft to over 2500lb/ft. These blades are the preferred choice for rough work and most agricultural work. They cut harder with less power for increased productivity. They leave the surface less compacted for an excellent seedbed.

The smooth blades offer a level finish for project cleanup and are a good choice for road maintenance or snow removal.

Built for the softest conditions. We know that owners take their Pulldozers into the harshest, muddiest conditions they can find. That’s why we fit big rubber on each unit for better flotation and puncture resistance.

The Pulldozer 2490 Transformer Blade runs massive IF1050/60R32s.

The 2490 features the new Precision Landscaping Monitor system with cab mounted monitor. The monitor display lift height, tilt angle, wing position, grade, and tilt to horizon with an extremely high level of accuracy and repeatability.

The monitor communicates with the pulldozer via wifi so there are no cables to run to the cab.

On top of the added precision, comfort is improved for long days of earthmoving by viewing your pulldozer status the screen beside you rather than on mechanical gauges on the Pulldozer behind you.
