Bridgeview’s Grain Express increases your harvest efficiency and helps unlock the value of your grain. Consider the benefits:
Add Bridgeview Hopper Cones, Jet Stream Aeration, Scale Pits, and custom conveyors for a complete grain handling system tailored to your exact needs.
Harvest technology has been advancing at an incredible pace with high capacity combines, auto steer, and automation. As farms get larger, the fleet of combines, grain carts, and trucks keeps pace but the grain storage facility at the other end often does not. A Grain Express system from Bridgeview will modernize your grain handling and unlock profit that augers and grain bags can’t provide.
During harvest, every second a full combine waits for a truck is wasted. Bridgeview’s Grain Express systems use 13″ grain drags with capacities up to 10,000 bu/hr to reduce offloading times. Combined with central loading and unloading, no time is wasted while switching bins and your trucks will keep on moving.
Once the grain is in the bin, you’ll have so much more control of the quality and moisture content. With heated aeration, you can easily dry down and turn tough grain with the click of a mouse. You’ll be combining while everyone else is parked.
Then, improve the grade of your sample with on-site blending. The grain loop is ideal for metering out grain for a consistent blend between bins.
The Grain Express is ideally suited to hopper cones, but flat bottom bins are also compatible.
13″ Round Tube Grain Loop
The Grain Express forms a continuous conveyor loop around your bin system to tie each bin together. A key feature for turning and blending grain, the system is also simpler than grain legs and transfer conveyors.
A 13″ system on 12 27ft x 9 ring hopper bins requires 2 x 75hp drive motors. This configuration is capable of 10000 bushels per hour to keep your trucks moving.
Central Load and Unload
The Grain Express loads and unloads from one end. Ideally paired with a scale, each loop has a truck hopper for receiving grain and motorized upper chute for loading grain. Say goodbye to swing-away augers and interruptions when the bin is full. Simply open the next upper chute and the grain will carry on down the line to the next bin. Zero delay.
Fluid Drive Clutch
The standard fluid-drive clutch on each drive motor provides soft-starts to prolong chain life. It also serves to even the load between the drive motors for consistent performance.
Upper Chutes – The upper chutes feature simple rack and pinion slide gates controlled by an electric motor and gearbox.
The chutes feature replaceable components and a large access panel for easy inspection.
Each chute is surrounded by a large work platform for safe and secure maintenance.
Bottom Hoppers – Each bin features an electric rack and pinion slide gate for unloading.
Pulse counters and limit switches show the operator at the PLC station the precise position of the gate. This feature gives full control for loading trucks or for blending bins.
The hoppers are shrouded with rubber skirts which control dust and moisture while providing easy access for inspection.
Take-up Corner – The conveyor chains shrink and expand with temperature. To provide consistent chain tension, the Grain Express features a simple weight-box. No need for complicated spring tensioners.
Each corner of the loop has a large access panel for easy clean-out and inspection.
Idler Corner – The idler corner near the truck hopper features a sampling chute for convenience.
A splined shaft on the idler corner provides a means to connect a hydraulic motor for slow speed service work.
PLC Control puts operation of the entire system at your fingertips. You can start and stop the drive motors, control the upper and lower chutes, and start aeration fans with a mouse click.
Information can be entered for each bin including grain type, quantity, and moisture content.
The PLC is designed with safety in mind. Interlocks ensure that sequences are followed in the correct order for smooth operation.
The Grain Express can help you through exceptionally tough harvest conditions.
When combined with Jet Stream aeration or better yet, heated Jet Stream Aeration, the Terminal operator can fill and turn bins with the aeration on. With this technique, the counter-current flow of grain and forced air gives dramatically improved drying times and a wider harvest window for a fraction of the cost of conventional grain drying.
Once the grain is dry, the hoppers provide safe and secure storage for the product.
Safety and Ease of Access
Grain Express systems feature a full suite of customizable walk-ways and work platforms for safe and secure access to your bins and every serviceable part of the system.
